Joanne loves glass - that says it all. She finds working with molten glass very exciting - the way it can be manipulated to any shape she desires and the fascinating colours are irresistable. Her life's journey has allowed her to fulfill her passion for making beads and be involved in the resurgence of the lampworking art form. She uses an extensive range of glass rods, mostly imported from Murano, Italy but also from Germany and Japan. Each bead is created one at a time, by hand, without the use of molds. Each is a little work of art. In the assembly process she incorporates sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, pearls and semi-precious stones.
